![]() I already mentioned it more than enough, but reading this amazing (at least for you) news, is letting m realising again, how unfortunate it is, that cereal per se isn’t really opular in germany anymore… □ Which products are you all most excited for? Here’s to a delicious 2016! You can read the full release here. ![]() I can’t really think of a witty remark for these, so instead I’ll just share with you the first song that comes to mind when I hear the word “Blooper.” ![]() New Cereal Cups: Frosted Flakes with Energy Clusters, Froot Loops Bloopers, and Special K Protein will also be available in new on-the-go cups. New Pop-Tarts:There’s going to be a crap ton of awesome new Pop-Tarts flavors in 2016, and since just listing them all will bump the length of this post to near Tolstoy lengths, I’ll restrain myself from commenting on each: Frosted Chocolatey Caramel, Maple Bacon, Watermelon, Pink Lemonade, and Spring Strawberry. Movie Cereals: Kellogg’s will also debut three new licensed, movie tie-in cereals for Captain America Civil War, Finding Dory, and Frozen. While I can already predict what these cereals will likely look like (I’ve got $5 that says they’ll each include oat pieces mixed with crudely shaped marshmallows), I’m nevertheless excited, because thanks to Finding Dory cereal, fish will now be friends and food. And while that post may still eventually happen, plans are being shelved, as Kellogg’s is making my dream of a PB&J cereal a reality! Jif PB&J will combine regular JIF cereal pieces (one of the best PB cereals, in my humble, slightly nutty opinion) and strawberry flavored puffs. Uh oh, I know some grape jelly fans who might not take this news so well! For awhile now, I’ve been trying to recreate the flavor of the mythic PB&J cereal of cereal lore (some debate if it ever actually existed at all), and I planned to post about my experimentation someday. JIF PB&J Cereal:This one has me especially excited. Uhh, if I don’t finish this blog post, you’ll probably know why. While this news isn’t quite as exciting as a long-dreamed revival of S’Mores Crunch cereal (sorry, Gabe), this is exciting enough to have me starting a celebratory bonfire in the middle of my kitchen. Kellogg’s Smorz: We’ve mentioned before how Smorz-which has a combo of chocolate coated graham pieces and marshmallows-is poised to make a comeback. This time, Kellogg’s is trying Salted Caramel & Praline Almond, and Cinnamon Roasted Candied Pecan of their breakfast mix. Not since General Mills’ short-lived Fingos in the 1990s has a cereal brand so brazenly tried a hands-on approach to cereal. Whoa.no milk? Using my fingers? I’m not sure my body is ready for this. Kellogg’s To Go Breakfast Mix: Combining chocolate, cereal, and nuts into a single bag, this on-the-go option from Kellogg’s is designed to be eaten without milk and with your fingers. Coming in Cranberry with Yogurt Drizzle and Blueberry varieties, these more sparsely iced Mini-Wheats seem to be like the elegant Toaster Strudel version of their traditionally Pop-Tarts-esque, frosting-blasted counterparts. Mini-Wheats Harvest Delights: After Kellogg’s Origins and Pumpkin Spice Mini-Wheats, it seems Kellogg’s commitment to the barnyard aesthetic is going full tilt. Both have multi-grain quinoa flakes, too, so if you’re like me and love hearing the many ways people can butcher the pronunciation of “quinoa,” (kwin-oh-uh? kawaii Noah? Joaquin Phoenix?), 2016 is gonna be a lot funnier, too. Special K Nourish: For those who want a little extra special healthiness in their morning, the already encyclopedic list of Special K varieties is about to grow longer, as Apple Raspberry Almond and Coconut Cranberry Almond flavors will hit shelves. Take a deep breath, polish your bowl and spoon, and put on your cereal pants sweatpants, ’cause we’re about to talk about the best of ’em: In a press release yesterday, Kellogg’s introduced a number of the 40+ new products they have planned for good old MMXVI. So I guess it’ll sound more like “Hrrby voobreer!” ![]() If all goes well, once January 1st comes around, you won’t even be able to say “Happy New Year,” because your mouth will be happily stuffed with one of Kellogg’s amazing new cereal offerings. (UPDATE: My review of Jif PB&J can be found here! My review of Smorz can be found here! I reviewed Apple Raspberry Almond Special K Nourish here! Cranberry Harvest Delights Mini-Wheats and the ToGo Mixes have been reviewed, too!)
